Aldridge Pite associate Morgan Clemons attended the Conference of State Bank Supervisors 2018 Test Maintenance program in Washington, D.C. The in-person activities bring together subject matter experts from around the country, including regulators and industry participants, to assist with maintenance of the National SAFE MLO Test. The test is required for mortgage professionals working to obtain mortgage loan originator licenses.
Ms. Clemons advises mortgage companies, including lenders, brokers, and servicers, on regulatory compliance matters. Regulatory Compliance is an essential component of a successful mortgage company or bank. Aldridge Pite offers in-house training based on client needs and advises clients on preventative and ongoing compliance matters. Prior to representing financial institutions in private practice, Ms. Clemons worked for a state regulatory agency as an enforcement attorney. Her duties included serving as the attorney representing the state banking department in hearings denying or revoking lender and mortgage loan originator licenses. She is an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law. Ms. Clemons is a graduate of Duke University School of Law.
