Morgan Clemons Completes Financial Services Law Text

Aldridge Pite associate Morgan Clemons has recently completed Introduction to Financial Compliance: Consumer Financial Services Regulation, ISBN-13: 978-0-578-42885-7, 393 pp.
The text serves as an introduction to entry-level attorneys and other industry participants interested in consumer financial services compliance.  The text includes chapters on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, the Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, among other laws and regulations.  The text includes a variety of cases interpreting the laws and rules and a discussion of public policy concerns related to access to financial services and regulatory methods.
Ms. Clemons has published articles in journals and industry publications, including the Banking Law Journal, Mortgage Compliance Magazine, and “CBA Today” (Community Bankers Association of Georgia). Ms. Clemons advises banks, mortgage companies, consumer lenders, fintech start-ups, bill pay, and international money transmitters on compliance matters. Prior to representing financial institutions in private practice, Ms. Clemons worked for a state regulatory agency. She is an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law. Ms. Clemons is a 2010 graduate of Duke University School of Law.
